A wedding photo sharing app collects the photos your guests take and puts them in one place. This guide compares the main options for Indian weddings, using each company's own site, and explains how to pick one. We build Memoria, so we say clearly what Memoria does and does not do.

The right wedding photo sharing app depends on who is running it. If you are the couple or a family host, look at the per-event tools such as Samaro, Kamero, TurtlePic and KnotPix, or a low-cost yearly plan such as Kwikpic. If your photographer already uses a gallery tool, ask them first. Whichever you choose, test the guest flow on a real phone and check the plan against your guest count before the wedding.
Memoria is different. It is a private family app, live on Android and iPhone, that keeps wedding photos with voice notes in a private Circle after the day. It is not a guest QR upload tool today, so use one of the tools below if you need guests to scan and upload at the venue.

Who sets it up and who pays?
Some tools are for the couple or host, with a plan per event. Others are for the photographer, with a yearly plan. If your photographer already uses one, ask whether guests can upload to it. That may cost you nothing.
Do guests have to install an app?
At a wedding with 300 guests, every extra step loses photos. Look for a link or QR that opens in the phone browser, and check it on an older Android phone.
How do guests find their own photos?
Many tools offer selfie search. Ask where the selfie data is stored, how long it is kept, and how a guest deletes it, because a face is personal data.
How long do the photos stay online?
Event plans often last a set time. Samaro's paid event plans are valid for one year, and Kwikpic keeps data for 1 week after a plan is not renewed. Ask what happens after the window, and download the originals yourself.
Are photos kept in full quality?
TurtlePic says it stores photos in their original resolution. Check this for any tool you try, and do not rely on WhatsApp for full-quality copies.
Does it work for a multi-day wedding?
Indian weddings run over several events. Check whether one plan covers all of them or each event is billed separately.

Samaro's FAQ shows slightly different prices for two of its event plans (Rs 1,798 and Rs 8,998), and Photomall's pricing page shows rupee amounts in a format we could not read reliably, so we do not quote them. Which plan fits a 300-guest wedding?
Plan sizes are easy to misread. As an example, assume 300 guests who each take 10 to 50 photos, which is 3,000 to 15,000 guest photos, plus about 1,500 from the photographer. These numbers are assumptions, so replace them with your own guest count and a realistic number of photos per guest.

Using WhatsApp or Google Photos instead
Many families start with a WhatsApp group, and that is fine for sharing quickly. The catch is that WhatsApp compresses photos sent as ordinary images, so the copies are smaller than the originals, and a busy group buries them. A shared Google Photos album is free to start. Google gives a personal account up to 15 GB, shared across Drive, Gmail and Photos, and says saved photos and videos count toward that quota. For a big wedding that can fill up, so check your storage before you invite everyone.
Where Memoria fits
Memoria is a private Social Memory app, live on Android and iPhone. A simple plan: before, on the day and after
The tool matters less than having one person in charge of it. This plan works with any of the apps above, or with a plain shared album.
Before the wedding
- Pick one person, not the bride or groom, to own the album and answer guests' questions.
- Test the guest flow with five people, including one on an older Android phone and one on an iPhone.
- Check the plan against your guest count and the number of events, using the table above.
- Tell your photographer which tool you are using, so the edited set and the guest photos can sit side by side if you both want that.
- Print the QR or link on a card for each event, not only for the wedding day.
On the day
- Have the host or MC mention the QR at the start of each event, and again after the main ceremony.
- Ask guests to upload the original photos, not screenshots or WhatsApp copies.
- Check once during the day that uploads are arriving, so a problem is fixed early.
After the wedding
- Download everything within a week, before any plan window ends, and keep two copies in different places.
- Share the album with relatives who could not come, and tell them how long the link will work.
- Ask guests who used selfie search to confirm they are fine with their photos staying, and remove anyone who asks.
Mistakes that lose wedding photos
Relying on one app and one link
If the plan lapses or the link is deleted, the photos can go with it. Keep your own copies of everything.
Skipping the test
A QR that works on your phone may fail on a guest's older phone or a slow venue network. Test where the guests will be.
No one owns it
Guests ask where to upload, a storage limit is hit, or a gallery expires, and nobody notices. Name an owner.
Ignoring the guest cap
A cheaper plan can look right on storage and still cap guests below your invite list.
Forgetting consent for faces
Selfie search uses faces. Tell guests, choose a tool that shows each guest only their own photos, and honour removal requests.
Mixing the photographer's work without asking
The edited set belongs to your photographer under your agreement. Agree on whether it goes into the same album, and how long it stays there.
Guest photos and the photographer's photos
A wedding has two kinds of photos. The photographer delivers an edited set, usually days or weeks later. Guests take hundreds of candid photos on the day, and those are the ones couples most often never see. A wedding photo sharing app is mainly a way to collect the second kind, so do not expect it to replace the first.
